Brigit S. Barnes is the owner and principal of Brigit S. Barnes & Associates, Inc.. Mrs. Barnes graduated cum laude from the University of Santa Clara in 1973 and obtained her J.D. with distinction from McGeorge School of Law in 1985. Mrs. Barnes is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Agency, Business Associations and Contract Awards, and the Corpus Juris Secundum Legal Scholarship Award.
Mrs. Barnes is a member of the Sacramento and Placer County Bar Associations - Real Property Section, the State Bar of California, California Business Properties Association - Legislative Committee, and served as Sacramento Commercial Women in Real Estate - Chairman and Government Affairs Committee. Mrs. Barnes was recently sworn in as a member of the Nevada Bar Association and is now extending her practice around Lake Tahoe and Washoe and Douglas Counties in Nevada.
Mrs. Barnes has developed and published materials, as well as leading seminars for title insurance companies, real estate brokers, and developers. Sacramento Commercial Women in Real Estate (CREW) has sponsored Mrs. Barnes' seminars and lectures on the Department of Real Estate, Inclusionary Housing addressing water rights/agency regulatory controls at CREW's National Convention. Additionally, she was a co-presenter on State and National Environmental Restrictions Effecting Tribal Property at the Environmental Law Institute's First Annual Western Boot Camp. Mrs. Barnes has also served as one of the California Building Industry Association's (CBIA) representatives to Governor Wilson's Wetland's Consensus, an advisory body, drafting proposed wetlands and watershed management legislation in California.

Chance Felkins, Associate Attorney. Chance has a passion for environmental policy in California.
He grew up working in rice fields and walnut orchards and witnessed firsthand the effect that large scale environmental laws and regulatory programs have on these communities. Finding the balance between protecting the amazing natural resources we enjoy and allowing for communities to continue their way of life is a delicate balance to he believes needs to be maintained.
Mr. Felknis is a solutions oriented person who enjoys working through complex stakeholder issues and legal disputes. What gets him excited about our current legal and regulatory framework surrounding environmental law is that things need to change moving forward to adapt to our current growth as a country and state.

Jaenalyn Killian, Paralegal. Jaenalyn is a certified paralegal with more than 25 years legal experience. Mrs. Killian has completed the UC Davis Land Use and Environmental Planning Certificate Program.
Prior to receiving her paralegal certificate, Mrs. Killian spent seven years as a legal secretary/case manager, followed by six years of employment for a prominent land use and real estate trial lawyer.
She has extensive trial experience in real estate litigation and previous experience with a civil engineering firm.

Noreen Patrignani, Legal Assistant. Noreen has been with the firm since 1995. Prior to 1995, Ms. Patrignani spent ten years as a legal secretary working with multiple attorneys in the areas of real estate, subdivision and land use law, and general civil litigation.
She has been a member of Legal Secretaries, Incorporated and its local chapter, the Sacramento Legal Secretaries Association since 1990.
Her previous work experience includes time spent with an accounting firm and a mortgage banking company.
